The trio Esquinas de Nuez (meaning “nut corners”) playfully transforms existing musical structures into something new. With the aesthetics of tango and jazz, as well as influences from klezmer and Balkan music, they succeed in capturing the audience’s attention. The focus is just as much on danceability as on the interest in the interpretation of the music. The members Axel Schmitt (clarinet/saxophone), Andrii Fesenko (accordion) and Jeremy Fast (guitar) are all trained musicians with many years of stage experience in Germany and abroad. The desire to develop new soundscapes is what unites the three instrumentalists.
